Best Internet marketing projects to start as a beginner
Posted on June 7th, 2006 in Internet Marketing Internet Marketing, Thoughts
I’ve just stopped from watching an AdSense tutorial from Google, that probably gives you more information than 90% of the e-books you get to buy for 20-30-even more than 50$. And the most important thing: it’s absolutely FREE! Nice, isn’t it?
But let’s get back to what I wanted to tell you today. After those months of study and learning everything related to making money on the Internet, from every source available to me, I finally started making projects in my mind: and every time I thought “Evrika! This is it! This is what I’m gonna do!”…well… something better always came along. Or at least something that looked more appealing to me. But this is a problem that many speak of in the online marketing world: it’s very hard, as a beginner, to get going, to take action…this is the hardest thing to do! It’s like watching a football game from the stands, getting to understand everything that is happening on the pitch and then being forced to put on a shirt and get playing yourself. I tell, it ain’t easy…
So, let me show you the conclusions I reached after “watching” the play from an outside point of view: I think that there are at least 3 things, 3 projects that a beginner can undertake at the start:
1) First of all, it’s playing the affiliate + AdWords game. What is this? To keep it short, you join large affiliate networks (like ClickBank, Commission Junction, LinkShare etc.) and become an affiliate to some programs, promote products and mainly use pay-per-click ad systems (AdWords, Yahoo Search Marketing etc.). This is good in the sense that you don’t even need to have a site to do it. I will also tell you more about this subject later.
2) The second easy way to start is by designing and operating a site on a specific theme (could be almost any theme) and then “stuffing” it with AdSense ads, this way getting to make money of it. This involves webdesign, domain name registration, hosting, SEO (search engine optimization), getting targeted traffic and so on. I will elaborate on this in future posts.
3) The third way isn’t as easy as the previous ones: it’s developing a product or a service and marketing/selling it on the Internet. This usually involves an e-commerce site, which is not as simple as a template modified /AdSense targeted site. Best way is to have an original idea and build from that, after doing the proper research and making sure the idea and its implementation are viable and potentially money-making. I can honestly say that I do have such an idea, but, for the time being, I prefer trying one of the first to methods before this. But when I put it into motion, you’ll be the first to know and learn from it.
Of course, no doubt that there are many more ways to start an Internet business, but these are the ones I think are best suited for me. And the first one I want to put into action is the AdSense targeted site. I am currently doing the reasearch for it and hopefully will get to building it soon.
Well, that’s it for today. I’ll go back to watching my video tutorial for now and tomorrow I’ll tell you some of the resources I use for aquiring information. See ya!
