Small break

Hey! Sorry for not posting these late days, but I am searching for a way to move my blog to my own domain (Online9to5.com), so I am pretty busy. But don’t worry, when everything is settled nice and smoothly, I’ll be back with fresh information for you. See ya!

Using RSS to get new and useful info

Quick note for today: has everyone heard of RSS ( really simple syndication)? If not, to put it short, it’s a way to get news updates without having to open an e-mail or visit a website, just by using a RSS client and subscribing to a news feed. Where am I going with this? Well, almost all newsletters I posted yesterday have such a RSS feed, which means you can read their news much easier, if you want to. In fact, it’s “trendy” today for every site, forum or blog to be RSS-enabled (even my blog has such a feature provided by Blogger.com). Bottom line is this: get a RSS reader (you can find loads of them by searching Google) and, when you find a site full of interesting information that you’d like to subscribe to, just check if that site has a RSS feed (in 90% of the cases the answer will be YES) and then add it to your list. Then, each day you can read news, content targeted directly to your interest, and if you don’t like it anymore there’s no unsubscribe necessary, you just delete the feed’s address from your reader and you’re out. Brilliant invention, if I may say so myself :) !
Ok, so have yourself a great weekend and talk to you soon. Cheers!

First learning source: newsletters

Heeeello, party people! Today, as I read the first comment received on my blog, I feel bursting with enthusiasm and eager to share with you the information in this post. So, without further ado, let’s begin…
This time I’d like to talk to you about information sources. One of the most important resources is represented by newsletters. I know I am subscribed to a “few” (well, to be honest, about 25 or so :P ) and really enjoy the knowledge they bring me each morning during my coffee time (right after the sports newspapers, of course :) . But there are some things you need to know before subscribing: nothing is free on the Internet! For every “free gift” you receive there is an action that’s expected of you, wether it’s buying a product, subscribing to a service, clicking a link or something else. Every great seller would vouch for this: the best way to sell is to give the feeling that you are offering much more than you are receiving (usually by giving away stuff for free, bonuses, along with the actual product you’re selling; that free stuff can be a report, an e-book, a course, a software etc.). Why am I telling you this? Because you need to realize that the information in those newsletters will be packed with product offers and action calls for you to BUY something! So you need to learn how to filter genuine info from advertorials. This could be somewhat difficult at the beginning, but at least you’re ahead of the game by being warned of this. So, to put it simple, at the beginning just read, don’t go buying stuff until you are decided on starting a project and you really need that stuff for it! Ok?
After this needed introduction, I’ll give you some links for newsletters that I found to be the most usefull and honest, along with having plenty of new ideas and things to learn from. I have to tell you that I am not linked with any of these publishers and have no profit from them whatsoever, I just like to read their stuff (if I post a link that somehow brings me a benefit I’ll tell at that moment, so that you can willfully decide if you click it or not).
Bahh..enough chit-chat :) This are the newsletters I like (more like the addresses where you can subscribe to them) :

Ok, that’s about enough…I selected the ones I think are the best, but still, among them, some are better than the others. If you don’t want to read them all, I’ll highlight the ones I think you should really subscribe to in red (or i’ll make them italic and bold :)
Well, that’s enough for now. Happy reading and see you soon!

Best Internet marketing projects to start as a beginner

I’ve just stopped from watching an AdSense tutorial from Google, that probably gives you more information than 90% of the e-books you get to buy for 20-30-even more than 50$. And the most important thing: it’s absolutely FREE! Nice, isn’t it?
But let’s get back to what I wanted to tell you today. After those months of study and learning everything related to making money on the Internet, from every source available to me, I finally started making projects in my mind: and every time I thought “Evrika! This is it! This is what I’m gonna do!”…well… something better always came along. Or at least something that looked more appealing to me. But this is a problem that many speak of in the online marketing world: it’s very hard, as a beginner, to get going, to take action…this is the hardest thing to do! It’s like watching a football game from the stands, getting to understand everything that is happening on the pitch and then being forced to put on a shirt and get playing yourself. I tell, it ain’t easy…
So, let me show you the conclusions I reached after “watching” the play from an outside point of view: I think that there are at least 3 things, 3 projects that a beginner can undertake at the start:

1) First of all, it’s playing the affiliate + AdWords game. What is this? To keep it short, you join large affiliate networks (like ClickBank, Commission Junction, LinkShare etc.) and become an affiliate to some programs, promote products and mainly use pay-per-click ad systems (AdWords, Yahoo Search Marketing etc.). This is good in the sense that you don’t even need to have a site to do it. I will also tell you more about this subject later.

2) The second easy way to start is by designing and operating a site on a specific theme (could be almost any theme) and then “stuffing” it with AdSense ads, this way getting to make money of it. This involves webdesign, domain name registration, hosting, SEO (search engine optimization), getting targeted traffic and so on. I will elaborate on this in future posts.

3) The third way isn’t as easy as the previous ones: it’s developing a product or a service and marketing/selling it on the Internet. This usually involves an e-commerce site, which is not as simple as a template modified /AdSense targeted site. Best way is to have an original idea and build from that, after doing the proper research and making sure the idea and its implementation are viable and potentially money-making. I can honestly say that I do have such an idea, but, for the time being, I prefer trying one of the first to methods before this. But when I put it into motion, you’ll be the first to know and learn from it.

Of course, no doubt that there are many more ways to start an Internet business, but these are the ones I think are best suited for me. And the first one I want to put into action is the AdSense targeted site. I am currently doing the reasearch for it and hopefully will get to building it soon.
Well, that’s it for today. I’ll go back to watching my video tutorial for now and tomorrow I’ll tell you some of the resources I use for aquiring information. See ya!

The learning curve

Oook…so, where does it all begin? Well, it begins with a desire to do something more than just work daily for a measily pay, not get sleep and not be able to enjoy life at its fullest…it begins with wanting to be FREE, to be your own boss…it continues with a passion for the Internet and for this huge virtual world that is at the tip of your fingers…at least, that’s how it all began for me (not necessarily in this order).
I really enjoy being online…exploring…finding new things…learning…experimenting. Aaand…I’m really lazy and don’t want to work “hardware” for the rest of my life :) So, I found the only way to get to financial independence doing what I enjoy best: an online business! Sounds so easy, doesn’t it? Well, that’s what I also thought at the begining…that’s what they all tell you (exactly what you want to hear): “get rich”, “huge dollar sums”, “easy as pie”, “anyone can do it” blah-blah-blah…you’ll find this 90 times out of 100 searches on google. But, is it true? Not exactly…they fail to tell you that you need to know a liiitle bit more about the online life then the average surfer in order to even setup a website. For instance, it’s real easy for me to tell you: “get a wysiwyg editor, a template and then build a site” but…it wouldn’t be that easy for you to actually follow this advice if you never even heard about webdesign or html.
I do not want to make this a looooong post, so let me give you the conclusion: the first thing you need to do is LEARN! Acquire as much know-how as you can…from every source (e-books, forums, newsletters)…try to “see” valuable information through the promotional trash…this process is neverending and only you can decide when would be a good time to put those information to work…and get busy online!
This is what I’ve been doing for the last…hmmm..let’s see…I’ve been thinking about it for a few years now and learning about it for 10-15 months. It doesn’t have to be that long for you though! I’ll try to give you a heads-up on what you should know, with everything from places to go and docs to read. In the meantime, I myself am still trying to put everything together and when I put my first money-making site online I’ll let you know.
Tommorow I’ll tell you what real business ideas I have found to be the best to start with…and maybe set your mind going the right way.
